Flexible working hours, up to 33 days annual leave, 10 public holidays.

The Grade for their post is Grade 2 level 3 - £16.37 to £16.84 per hour. As this is a shift working post, you will receive an additional 1 or 2 increment (depending on your shift patter) and this will be consolidated into your salary.

Backed by significant investment, the home first service operates seven days a week with a focus on supporting service users to regain or attain skills and abilities. Helping them to achieve as much independence as they can in their own homes.

As a Home Carer within the Care at Home (Home First) service, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Community Nurses and Social Care professionals with the aim of supporting, motivating and inspiring people to re-learn daily skills and enhance their quality of life. This may be required following a period in hospital or to prevent admission to hospital.

Requirements

Location:

Hamilton (includes Bothwell, Uddingston, Blantyre, Larkhall, Stonehouse)

East Kilbride (includes Strathaven, Chapelton, Glassford)

Clydesdale (and surrounding area)

 

We have vacancies throughout South Lanarkshire, full time and part time

Most of our staff will work the following shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday

We have a variety of contracted hours available to suit your circumstances with some examples below:

Contracted Hours Example:

17.5 Hours: 5 hours working in morning or backshift

21 Hours: 6 hours working in morning or backshift

24.5 Hours: 7 hours working in morning or backshift (includes 30 minutes unpaid break)

28 Hours: 8 hours working in morning or backshift (includes 30 minutes unpaid break)

35 Hours: Split shift of 5 hours in the morning and 5 hours in the evening

We also have weekend only positions available as follows:

12 Hours: 6 hours working in morning or backshift

10 or 20 Hours: Split shift of 5 hours in the morning and 5 hours in the evening

For all shifts:

The morning shift can start between 7am and 8 am

Backshift can end between 9pm and 11pm

Qualification

It is essential that applicant currently holds an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or recognised SSSC equivalent.

Foreign Police Check

Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.

Regulated Work with Protected Adults
