We are an ambitious, high performing organisation with a clear vision and programme of action which is designed to improve the lives and prospects of everyone in South Lanarkshire.

The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire. In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, we offer a range of services designed to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services. Social Work Resources are committed to providing services for children, young people, families, adults and older people who are in need of care and protection.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our newly established early intervention team and collaborate in assessments and review activity within adult and older people social work services.

You will use a strength-based approach and work collaboratively across social care and partner agencies by supporting and promoting resilience and strong communities focusing on prevention, anticipation and supported self-management. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will offer timely rehabilitative interventions and advice to ensure people from vulnerable groups that face additional challenges, access the right advice or service at the right time and provided by the right person.

The successful applicant will deliver a range of office based and home visit interventions that optimise peoples functioning and independence. The rehabilitative process will involve participation and collaboration with the person, their family/ informal carers and others as required, to restore, promote or enable recovery and maximise the person’s ability to live, work and learn to their best potential. This is an exciting opportunity for you to participate and develop a new service as well as supporting good relationships and enhancing overall team performance.
