Job Description

Location: Avondale Community Wing, Overton Road, Strathaven

Hours: 30 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 5 days over 7 including evenings and weekends - dependant on needs of business

Duration: Temporary until  September 2023 

South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Hallkeeper to work at Avondale Community Wing. The successful applicants will be responsible for the security of the building, setting up and dismantling equipment as required as well as ensuring a good standard of cleanliness throughout. You will also be required to process related paperwork as well as liaising with internal and external customers ensuring a high standard of customers service at all times.

This is a temporary position until 1 September 2023.  Prior to making your application, please discuss your potential application with your current Line Manager. In the event that you are being considered for this post, your release to undertake this internal fixed term opportunity would need to be agreed in advance and managed by the service/s or resource/s.

Responsibilities

Clearing and cleaning within the parameters of the building grounds in accordance with the Trusts litter policy 

Undertake minor reactive repairs in line with Trust procedures and notify line manager of any concerns regarding contractors’ activities

Undertake completion of appropriate records and paperwork in accordance with Trust policies and procedures  

Advising lessees of their responsibilities regarding lets and advising line managers of any concerns, complying with all aspects of the Health and Safety Management system

Liaising with internal and external customers in line with the Trust policy, for Community managed halls, also liaising with management committees

Undertake reception duties, as required
