South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is looking to recruit a Sports Development Officer to assist and support SLLC's Clubs and Communities team to develop, implement and deliver a range of physical activity, sport, inclusion and school programmes which aim to engage local communities and encourage participation in these programmes on a regular basis.
This will involve building relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders involved in these programmes.
Requirements
This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.
Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Council.

The fee for joining the PVG scheme is £59 and the fee for a PVG scheme update is £18. Candidates will be responsible for covering the cost of the relevant PVG check.
