Job Description
Nature Restoration Officer
Stirling Council are looking for a highly motivated person to lead on the delivery of the Council’s Alive with Nature Plan, and champion biodiversity across Stirling. The post of Nature Restoration Officer sits within the Council’s Sustainable Development Team whose objective is to tackle the climate and nature emergencies and enhance our natural environment.
You will be the lead on the Alive with Nature Plan within the Council, providing leadership, advice, and guidance, and drive forward this critical aspect of the climate emergency. You will develop and promote partnerships to deliver ecological and biodiversity conservation objectives. You will help with the provision of the Council’s ecological responses to development, as well as providing advice in regard to the Council’s duties in relation to management of its land and buildings. You will have a qualification in ecology, or environmental management or other relevant field and, ideally, experience of dealing with planning issues. You should have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and be able to drive forward improvement projects.
