An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our Community Safety Team as a front line manager. The post will be essential in developing part of the service, along with opportunities to progress your career as a Senior Enforcement Officer. The post will provide comprehensive second tier management of a team of Community Safety Enforcement Officers and Car Park staff on a day to day basis. Specific duties will involve managing staff and resources to respond to reports of environmental and decriminalised parking enforcement across the Council area, providing advice and guidance to officers as required. In addition the post involves acting as a decision maker within the Parking Charge Notice appeals process and working closely with colleagues across the wider service. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent organisational skills, together with an ability to demonstrate our behaviours - Committed, Collaborative, Customer Focused, Leading and above all, ‘Think How’ focusing on solutions. Local government experience would be advantageous as would management experience. The post holder will work as part of a team to provide direct line management and take operational responsibility for day to day activities of the team in a professional, effective and efficient manner. You will be required to demonstrate a high level of initiative, organising and prioritising often competing and conflicting demands, and possess excellent communication skills. You will have experience in a similar role, and be highly competent in the use of the Office 365 package and other relevant software and be able to demonstrate a working understanding of Environmental Crime and Decriminalised Parking legislation. This post is based in Stirling with travel across the Stirling area so the ability to drive is essential as is the ability to work out of hours as required. The Council is currently reviewing how we work and this post is offered on a hybrid working basis, meaning that part of the working week is expected to be in a Council office.
