Stores Person:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stirling Council’s Facilities Management Team for a Stores person based in the Cornton area to cover schools nurseries and corporate buildings for the Facilities Management Service Area.
The post will involve providing 30 hours 5 days per week professional stores service on a 52 week basis. The hours are from 9am – 5pm (to be reviewed after 6 months and timings adjusted if service requirements are not met 10am – 6pm) this post will be paid at Stirling Council Grade 5.
- Good knowledge of Stores issuing / receipt processes.
- Awareness of safe distribution practices and manual handling.
- Full understanding of Health and Safety procedures throughout the work place.
- Proficient in computerised business tools (MS Office such as Excel and Word).
- Good communication skills.
- Full Drivers licence.
- Inventory management experience
- Trained in purchasing system My Portal
- Experience of working within a warehouse/dispatch environment.
- PAT testing certificate
Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided. Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items. and prepared to work alone. Applicants will also require a working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.
