Job Description
There are 2 posts available, as follows:
Post 1 - 30 Hours, Permanent
Post 2 - 24 Hours, Permanent
Hours will be worked 5/7 or 4/7 days, including weekends.
In the role of Domestic Assistant, you will be required to carry out a range of cleaning activities, follow specific mandatory cleaning schedules and maintain records such as weekly work schedules and deep cleans.
Duties will include the use of powered cleaning equipment such as steam cleaners and floor cleaners to ensure the premises are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. You will be required to maintain high standards of cleanliness through out the establishment and follow infection control guidelines.
As these are part time posts, the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.
Applicants should have relevant cleaning experience within a care home or hospital environment as this is an essential requirement.
Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
