As a Housing Officer, you will offer tailored pre-tenancy and ongoing tenancy support, deliver wrap-around services to sustain tenancies and communities, enhance rental income, prevent arrears, and improve access to employability services. You will also minimize void rent loss, reduce the number of empty homes, and implement local lettings strategies within policy and legislative frameworks.

Strategic Leadership: Operates under the Strategic Lead for Housing and Employability.
Team Size: Comprises approximately 112 staff members.
Income Generation: Plays a crucial role in the Council's income structure.
Customer Focused: Designed to maximize tenant income through housing benefits, Working 4U services, and third-sector support.
Continuous Improvement: Fosters a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, collaborating with various partners to achieve joint planning objectives.

Please note that applicants must have National Qualifications Level 5 or equivalent extensive experience of working within social rented housing sector as this is an essential requirement of the post.
