Job Description

This is a fixed term post until 30/08/2025.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2 year fixed term finance assistant position within the West Dunbartonshire’s Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Finance Team to support delivery of a statutory accounting functions and an integrated accounting support service to the wider HSCP Service Area and a comprehensive range of high quality services across the Partnership, their service users and external organisations that work in partnership with the HSCP.

The HSCP is an established innovative partnership, responsible for delivering all primary care, local community health and social care services to the population of West Dunbartonshire in an integrated way.

Working as an integral member of the HSCP Finance Team the successful applicant will support the Social Care portfolio (c£87m) under the guidance of the HSCP Finance Manager. They will contribute to the overall performance of the team in a role which provides high quality financial management information and accounting and business planning input and advice.

With demonstrable experience of budget setting/monitoring and final accounts preparation the successful applicant will be required to adapt and prioritise workload based on changing circumstances, whilst maintaining timescales and meeting deadlines.

The Finance Team operate a blended model of some office based and home working. West Dunbartonshire is a great place to live and work. The area is made up of rural, urban and waterfront locations and offers a range of new-build and traditional homes, all just half an hour from the heart of Glasgow by car and well serviced public transport links.

Requirements

The preferred candidate will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities
