Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Council are seeking to recruit a Team Leader for our Housing Operations section following the successful promotion of the existing post holder.

The role will involve delivering sustainable housing solutions for existing and new tenants and communities and you will work in partnership with our access to housing, anti social behaviour and Your Community teams to achieve this.

You will be required to take enforcement and legal actions as part of your role and you should have experience in working with challenging customers and difficult situations and the managing factors for your staff. Creating and sustaining safe, strong and involved communities is a key aspect of the role and you must be committed to delivering high quality services to achieve these objectives and support staff to deliver on these. We are a friendly, forward thinking organisation where team work, flexibility and positive communication is encouraged. Persons applying for this post must be enthusiastic and be able to manage the day to day workload of generic housing officers working in a social housing environment and contribute towards the delivery of a robust housing service.

You must be highly motivated and a team player, able to manage a varied work load on a day to day basis in a fast paced environment, with a positive attitude and excellent skills in communication and customer care. You must also be disciplined and well organised. You must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, previous experience in a social housing environment is essential. 

Requirements

The preferred candidate will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
