Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join West Dunbartonshire's Health and Social Care Partnership working within Residential Services, in the Support Services Team.

The post holder will assist the Support Services manager to manage front line service delivery, develop a culture of continuous improvements and ensure the achievement of operational objectives and performance standards. Support Services within residential care is responsible for:

• The provision of facilities management services to all internal and external customers including domestic and laundry service, infection control, building maintenance and repair, and catering services to both residential and day care clients

• The effective delivery of the facilities management service, ensuring compliance with all appropriate legislation and associated regulations, policy and procedures.

This is a new post and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with supervisory / management experience in facilities management to join the team.

This is a 35 hour post, working Monday - Friday. Weekend working may be required to cover the needs of the service.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and/or Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
