Reporting to the IT Client Server & Software Technical Team Leader, this is a permanent senior post within the IT Services structure and critical in the delivery of effective and efficient IT Services.

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate proficiency with the design, implementation and support of Microsoft solutions and exhibit strong project management, change management, documentation and communication skills.

Responsible for all Microsoft 365 services within the corporate and education environments used by West Lothian, the candidate should be a good communicator who is friendly and patient and is happy engaging with customers of all levels and proficiencies while demonstrating professionalism.

The post will work closely with other Advanced Specialist posts within the IT Service, covering specialist areas including, Wintel, Unix, Security, Client and Server Management, Networks and Application Interface Development providing an excellent IT service provision to all of our customers.

These permanent roles provide an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects within West Lothian Council.

IT Services structure is based on ITlLv4 and you must have a solid understanding, knowledge and experience of good practice.

Training and development will be provided to ensure that the post-holder attains and maintains the technology-specific skills required of the role.
