Parkhead Primary School and ELC is a non-denominational school within West Calder. Our staff team is fully committed to working together collegiately as part of the West Calder learning community. Our present school roll is 399 pupils and 73 Nursery pupils. This comprises of 15 classes and 2 Nursery sessions with an option for full day placement in nursery. In the ELC we have an Early Years Officer, 5 full time EYPs, 2 part time EYPs, 3 PSWs and 1 APSW. The leadership team comprises of one Head teacher, one Depute Head teacher, one Principal Teacher and one ELC Area Support Manager.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council

This position requires registration with the SSSC.  The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.
