This post is based within the Advice Shop where the successful candidate will work to promote financial inclusion and alleviate poverty through advice and advocacy in the areas of welfare benefits, money, housing and energy advice.

As part of a Macmillan Cancer Support funded project, you will be part of the Income maximisation team based at Bathgate Partnership Centre. The project provides a specialist income maximisation service for people affected by cancer, their families and carers receiving treatment through services at the Western General Hospital.

The main function of this role is to provide advice, advocacy and representation for patients, carers and health professionals at the Western General Hospital and to work in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to ensure the customer is at the centre of a high-quality advice service.

The successful candidate will also assist in developing the service and help with targeted campaigns.
