What you will do:
- Install, configure, support and monitor client, server, cloud and endpoint technologies across a multi-site environment.
- Investigate incidents and service requests, carry out structured testing, identify defects or recurring issues and provide clear escalation through to resolution.
- Use monitoring, logging, service data and customer feedback to understand performance, identify trends and improve reliability and customer experience.
- Contribute to technical projects involving build, test, deployment, automation, documentation and transition into operational support.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, deployment guidance, standard operating procedures, configuration records and support information.
- Work with the IT Service Centre Manager, Service Delivery Manager, project managers, the IT Service Desk and colleagues across IT Services.
- Apply IT service management, information security, quality and governance requirements while delivering work within agreed service levels.
What you will bring:
- Practical experience of technical support, manual testing, DevOps, cloud engineering or equivalent hands-on technology projects.
- Knowledge of operating systems, networking fundamentals, cloud infrastructure, containers, scripting, infrastructure as code, pipelines, monitoring or centralised logging.
- Experience designing test cases, undertaking regression or API testing, reporting defects and verifying successful technical changes.
- An analytical approach to operational information, performance measures and evidence-based problem-solving.
- A disciplined approach to security, access controls, credential management, documentation, quality checking and process adherence.
- Clear stakeholder communication, customer focus, collaboration, adaptability and attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft endpoint, client or server management technologies is desirable. Transferable knowledge from AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, Linux, Python, Bash, SQL, Prometheus, Grafana or ELK will also be relevant.
