This role provides a technical support service to administrative and curriculum customers within the secondary school involving the installation and support of all technical platforms and systems, ensuring a consistent approach across the Education sector.

This post is critical to the delivery and ongoing continual development and improvement of excellent, cost effective ICT services which are able to respond quickly, adapt progressively and meet ever-increasing demands within the Education arena.

The post holder will be required to work constructively with senior management, teaching and support staff, pupils and IT colleagues, both within IT Services and located at other secondary schools, communicating on a planned and unplanned basis, on technical planning and problem determination using their communication skills to explain technical problems, provide updates on project tasks, status reports and research findings.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment.
