Blackridge Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and nurturing Pupil Support Worker to join the team in the nursery.
The successful candidate will work as part of a forward thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality, caring interactions and learning and teaching experiences.
The post-holder should be educated SCQF Level 6 or provide equivalent qualifications and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment. If not already, the post-holder should ensure they achieve SCQF Level 6 within 5 yrs of appointment. The post-holder must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a practitioner and will be subject to Enhanced Disclosure.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
