Job Description

Following review and modernisation of our Finance structure, Dundee and Angus College are offering a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to take their next career step and lead the development of our finance team and services in one of the most innovative, dynamic, and successful Colleges in Scotland.

As a multi-award winning College with sector leading learner satisfaction and outcomes we have an exciting vacancy for the role of:

Finance Manager
35 hours per week
Salary: D&A Spot Point 49 - £58,451 per annum

Campus: Kingsway and hybrid working
(with excellent pension scheme, 45 days annual leave and other benefits)

Supporting our recently appointed Director of Finance, the Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting our financial sustainability and building on the success of D&A as a sustainable education and service provider.

As a qualified accountant (or holding an equivalent finance qualification at SCQF level 9) you will need to demonstrate the professional and leadership skills and values necessary to further develop a successful finance team and deliver effective and efficient finance services.

In this role you will have operational responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of our accounting team and other designated finance services and will lead our annual budget setting and reporting processes alongside responsibility for our annual accounts, managing cashflow and providing reports to the Scottish Funding Council, our partners and grant providers.

We are looking for an individual that has leadership skills and potential that aligns with our College values and who will work in partnership with budget holders to support create a strong and positive culture of financial accountability across the College. To achieve this you will also need excellent interpersonal and influencing skills supported by good IT skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
