APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE EDINBURGH COLLEGE BOARD OF MANAGEMENT

The Edinburgh College Board of Management currently seeks to fill four non-executive vacancies before its scheduled meeting on 28 March 2023 and for an initial term of 3 years.

The Board of Management would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience in one or more of the following fields:

  • Two Non-Executive Directors, one who would be Chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee. Preferably candidates will have a formal Accounting Qualification, ideally combined with relevant experience in the fields of accountancy, Audit and Risk Assurance Committee experience or financial management.
  • Two further Non-Executive Directors with any of the following experience: Education and training (across Further or Higher Education, School or other training providers), SME and local business / enterprise, and/or expertise within an area of the College curriculum.

Time Commitment: During the first year of appointment, it is anticipated you may need to devote an average of 1.5 days per month.

Remuneration: All Non-Executive roles are non-remunerated. Incidental expenses will be reimbursed.

Appointment details: Appointments to the Board of Management will come into effect from 21 March 2023, following approval from the Minister for Higher Education and Further Education, Youth Employment and Training.

The appointment will be for a period up to 3 years, with the possibility of re-appointment subject to evidence of effective performance and to satisfying the requirements of the person specification for the role at the time of re-appointment.

Interviews: Interviews will be held on 3rd and 8th February 2023.
