The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the establishment and delivery of the Care Skills Partnership, a national initiative supporting Scotland’s health and social care workforce through the college sector.
Working closely with the Scottish Government, NHS Education for Scotland (NES), the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), colleges, and employers, the role will focus on improving digital literacy across the social care workforce and supporting innovation in care roles, including the Care Technologist.
This role can be undertaken remotely, and applications are welcome from across Scotland regardless of location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead implementation of the Care Skills Partnership hub-and-spoke model across colleges
- Provide strategic leadership aligned with Scottish Government, NES and SSSC priorities
- Oversee national delivery of the SCQF Level 6 Digital Literacy Unit
- Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and reporting
- Lead CPD development for college lecturers (train-the-trainer approach)
- Explore and coordinate development of innovative care roles
- Line-manage project leads and support cross-college collaboration
- Ensure equitable access to training across urban, rural, and remote colleges
- Plan for sustainability, legacy, and sector-wide knowledge sharing
