At Fife College, we're committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and high-performing workplace where our people can thrive. As we continue to deliver our ambitious People and Organisational Strategy, we're looking for an experienced and proactive Lead HR Business Partner to play a key role in supporting leaders, driving organisational improvement and helping shape the employee experience across the College.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished HR professional to work in partnership with senior leaders across the organisation, providing expert advice and practical support across the full employee lifecycle. You'll help influence strategic people decisions, lead on complex employee relations matters and support initiatives that contribute to the College's long-term success.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of HR, you'll provide a comprehensive HR business partnering service to designated Centres and Professional Service areas, building strong relationships with managers and acting as a trusted adviser on a wide range of people matters.
You'll support organisational change programmes, lead on complex case management and work collaboratively with managers to improve workforce performance, employee engagement and key people metrics such as absence, recruitment and retention. You'll also work closely with recognised Trade Unions, helping to maintain positive employee relations and supporting meaningful consultation and partnership working.
A key aspect of the role will be supporting the delivery of the College's People and Organisational Development Strategy, contributing to policy development, organisational development initiatives and continuous improvement activities that enhance the effectiveness of our HR service. You'll also have opportunities to represent HR at meetings, projects and sector-wide working groups, deputising for the Head of HR when required.
About You
We're looking for a confident and credible HR professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and making a positive impact on organisational performance and employee experience. You'll be comfortable balancing strategic priorities with operational demands and able to provide practical, commercially focused HR advice in a complex environment.
What We Offer
Joining Fife College means becoming part of a collaborative and forward-thinking organisation that is committed to developing its people and delivering positive outcomes for staff, learners and the wider community.
You'll also benefit from:
46 days' annual leave, including fixed closure days.
Membership of the relevant Local Government Pension Scheme.
Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
A range of health and wellbeing benefits.
Hybrid working where applicable to the role.
Interested?
If you're an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to influence organisational success, support meaningful change and help shape the future workforce of one of Scotland's leading colleges, we'd love to hear from you.
