Who are we?
Fife College is one of Scotland's leading colleges, providing high-quality further and higher education to over 20,000 students. Through inspirational learning, innovation and strong community partnerships, we help learners develop the skills and confidence to succeed. With a strong focus on innovation, inclusion and partnership, Fife College is an exciting and rewarding place to work and develop your career.
About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Sports and Active Campus Coordinator to lead the design, development and delivery of extracurricular sport, physical activity and active wellbeing programmes across Fife College. The role sits within our Sports & Fitness team and plays a key part in supporting student wellbeing, engagement, retention and sense of belonging through inclusive and accessible opportunities for physical activity.
You will work closely with students, colleagues and external partners to develop an engaging Active Campus programme, increasing participation in sport and active wellbeing activities across all College campuses. The role will involve coordinating Student Sport and Activity Ambassadors, organising sports events and awareness campaigns, developing partnerships with organisations such as Sport Scotland and Scottish Student Sport, and securing funding opportunities to support programme growth.
You will also contribute to the College's wider Health and Wellbeing Strategy, providing valuable insight through participation data, student feedback and programme evaluation to support continuous improvement.
About You
You will be passionate about sport, fitness and active wellbeing and understand the positive impact these can have on student success, wellbeing and community health. You will enjoy building relationships with a diverse range of people and have experience engaging with the public, leading volunteers and supporting sports clubs or group activities.
Educated to HND level in a relevant subject, or with equivalent experience, you will possess excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills. You will be confident working independently, managing competing priorities and using social media and digital engagement tools to encourage participation. Experience using Microsoft Office and an understanding of the challenges facing college students are essential.
Most importantly, you will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring that opportunities are accessible to all students and helping to create a positive, supportive and active college community.
What We Offer
Joining Fife College means becoming part of a collaborative and forward-thinking organisation that is committed to developing its people and delivering positive outcomes for staff, learners and the wider community.
