The team

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Recruitment Channel Manager to join our dynamic international student recruitment team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about international student recruitment and has a strong desire to make a positive impact.

Based within the Directorate of Future Students, Marketing and Communications, the team is responsible for the delivery of the University’s international student recruitment plans, including activities to attract qualified international students to study at our university, the management of our global network of education agents, sponsors and partners, and market insights.   

The Role

 

The key responsibilities of the Student Recruitment Channel Manager (International) is to oversee the agent channel management processes and KPIs to achieve the University’s objectives of providing a schedule of communications, training, support and governance for our network of education agents and sponsors.  This includes evaluation of the effectiveness of international student recruitment channels, ensuring at all times alignment to Glasgow Caledonian’s commitment to the UK Agent Quality Framework.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience working within Higher Education.

An informed understanding of the Higher Education recruitment cycle preferably on an international basis is crucial for this role, as is the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and agents, demonstrating collaboration and negotiation skills. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in pipeline management, preferably related to the student journey, and an in depth understanding of international recruitment markets and demands.  Exceptional client relationship management and customer services skills are required, along with experience of operating internationally with a strong cultural awareness.

Essential skills and experience for this role also include a good understanding of marketing and recruitment techniques, particularly in relation to the recruitment of international students via education agents. The successful candidate will have a focus and good understanding of management reporting and data analysis relevant to this position.
