GCU London, in meeting their commitment to the wellbeing of their growing student body, are now recruiting for a Student Wellbeing Adviser. This role will establish and deliver wellbeing support to their growing cohort of international students based at their GCU London campus in Spitalfields.

The post holder will provide practical and emotional support to students experiencing a wide variety of problems, ensuring their general health and wellbeing is well supported. The role contributes significantly not only to the support of individual students but also to advising and supporting other members of the GCU London team in working with students with general welfare issues. 

The role involves meeting students on a one to one basis providing practical guidance and initiating a referral where appropriate. The role holder will work with staff throughout the University including staff in pastoral/welfare roles, the students’ association, security staff, as well as colleagues within the Glasgow campus Student Wellbeing team and the wider student life team.

Educated to degree level or relevant qualification and/or experience the ideal candidate will have experience of working in a welfare or advisory capacity, preferably in a further or higher education environment and have the ability to work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team.

As this role involves Regulated work with Adults and/or Children the successful candidate will require DBS check.
