Lothian School of Technology

The Lothian School of Technology (LST) is a charity based in Loanhead, Scotland. Founded by Professor Stephen Salter, one of our main charitable aims is to support environmental and climate-related technologies. This is done by supporting businesses and start-ups through work and office spaces, shared machinery and resources (machine shop), and collaboration between companies. 

LST’s other aim is to support the practical and intellectual training of young people and early-career engineers. The resident companies at LST take in students each year for paid internships, final year projects, paid summer placements, apprenticeships and supervised student competitions.
