The Advert
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with a passion for teaching who is keen to pass on their knowledge and workshop skills to our students and commercial clients. The successful candidate should have a HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering and should also have a craft engineering qualification.
The individual should have an excellent working knowledge of maintenance engineering along with pneumatics/hydraulics and industrial diesel engines. Knowledge and experience of manufacturing engineering is also desirable and individual must be able to share that knowledge with a range of different stakeholder groups.
Experience of teaching and motivating learners to succeed would be an advantage.

You should also be willing to work towards a TQFE (Teaching Qualification in Further Education) once employment has commenced if you do not already hold a relevant teaching qualification.

QUALIFICATIONS
- SCQF Level 7/HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering;
- Craft Certificate or Vocational Qualification or equivalent in Maintenance/Marine Engineering
- *Manufacturing experience
- *Teaching qualification (TQFE or equivalent)
- *Assessment/Verification qualification
- *ECDL (European Computer Driving License)
- *GTC registration
EXPERIENCE
- Up to date industry experience in Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering
- Hands-on experience in a mechanical engineering craft role.
- *Teaching or training experience
- *Assessment experience
KNOWLEDGE
- Working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering to include Maintenance, Manufacture and Design, at craft and technician level.
- *Knowledge and/or experience of the use of electronic learning materials
