Student Information Assistant (Ref. No. A977)

Salary: per annum £29,864.05 pro rata per annum

Actual Salary: £20,264.89 per annum

A vacancy for a Student Information Assistant has become available at Aberdeen City Campus, based at the Main Reception.

Reporting to the Student Information Officer you will be required to provide a high quality and flexible ‘front-line’ reception, information and referral service for all clients of the college which is comprehensive, accurate and efficient across all campuses.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and will have good attention to detail. Candidates should also have excellent customer service skills and should have experience of working in a busy reception/switchboard.

You should be educated to standard grade or equivalent in English and it is desirable to hold ECDL. The successful candidate will have experience of working on a busy reception within a customer care focussed environment. You will have a good knowledge of Windows based computer packages. You will have a pleasant manner face to face, on the phone and via e-mail with a positive attitude. You will have a flexible approach to work. The ability to work and remain calm under pressure as well as maintain confidentiality is key.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 3 National 5’s A-C or equivalent (SCQF level 5)

  1. A qualification in customer care or related activity*
  2. ECDL*

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  1. Clerical/administrative experience, ideally within a cross college role
  2. Experience of reception work
  3. An understanding of the role of support services within a College setting

SKILLS
