The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership approaching 30,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.

About the Role

This role supports the management of the intercollegiate surgical logbook service and its ongoing development and requires the postholder to work with other college teams as well as wider external surgical entities such as the Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Project (ISCP)

The post is flexible, remote and 0.6 whole time equivalent with one fixed remote team meeting on Mondays at midday. Very rarely there may be a requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal working hours and travel for work.

Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills

This is a varied and rewarding role, with the opportunity for the right applicant to manage a successful and dynamic team that is rapidly developing an already outstanding core surgical training resource. There are opportunities to project manage new developments and to start generating revenue from the logbook project.

The postholder must be able to demonstrate previous experience of developing a similar project and show outstanding initiative with excellent team leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
