UHI Shetland has an exciting opportunity available for a Head Chef at our Briggistanes Cafe in the Lerwick Campus.
The Head Cook will work within our Facilities team alongside the Cafeteria Assistant to ensure that the café;
- provides high quality food,
- a customer focused service,
- enhance our student experience,
- and meets all the relevant health and safety requirements.
The successful candidate must have previous experience as a cook/chef in a professional kitchen.
This is a permanent role working term time only in line with the organisational academic holidays, we are happy to hear from applicants who can work up to 35 hours per week, starting at 8.30am Monday to Friday.
Distant Islands Allowance is currently set at £2,742 (pro rata) which would be in addition to any salary payment.
Interviews are expected week of 22nd of July with the preferred candidate taking up the position from 12 August following satisfactory pre-employment checks and PVG membership.
