UHI Shetland has a vacancy for a Temporary full-time Purchase Ledger Finance Assistant as a fixed term position for a period of maternity leave working as part of a small team at our Scalloway campus. The successful candidate will have a pleasant and approachable manner, will be tactful, diplomatic, able to maintain confidentiality and a good team worker.

Applicants must have experience of working in a busy office environment with specific skills including a good understanding of accounting processes and procedures, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. They must hold a Higher level/SVQ3 or equivalent in Maths and English. Knowledge and understanding of VAT and experience of Sage would be advantageous.
