The Organisational Staff Development Services (OSDS) team support the delivery of the University Strategy, drive organisational progress and support the aspirations of staff. OSDS provide a comprehensive range of activities and opportunities to support all staff in professional, research and academia development pathways.

OSDS are looking for an experienced individual to design, develop and deliver engaging learning activities, including in-person delivery, online delivery, facilitation, digital content and large-scale events.

This is a part time position, working 21.75 hours per week (0.6 FTE), on a standard contract.

The role holder will work with the developers, administrators and Head of Unit to provide a pro-active and professional support service.

The role holder will support the staff training calendar, the promotion and organisation of events, the use and curation of LinkedIn Learning and other E-Learning design and delivery. Contribute to the delivery of a wide range of varied projects, partnering work and the gathering of key information and statistics for reporting. Liaise with other units and schools and external training suppliers utilising their specialist knowledge to enhance our programmes and development pathways.

The role holder will have excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills. Be flexible, a strong team player and able to work on own initiative. Be organised and prioritise workload in a busy and fast-paced environment. Be collegial, and discrete with an ability to work with confidential information.

Enthusiasm and drive to provide impactful evidence-based quality L&D activities are critical parts of this role.

The successful applicant will be qualified to degree level in a relevant subject area, verbal and written English will be excellent with an engaging delivery style. Evidence based design of events and programmes as well as previous experience of delivering is advantageous. You will have a good knowledge of Microsoft packages, including MSTeams, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience of working in a training and development environment is desirable as is LMS, E-Learning Design & Digital Content Creation.
