Police Scotland pensions professionals are responsible for delivery of the pension service offering to around 20,000 employees.

We are currently recruiting for a wide range of job roles in our finance department. We’re looking for experienced pensions professionals who can deliver to an excellent standard, ensure compliance with statutory and organisational regulations and play a key role in the development of Police Scotland and the Scottish Police Authority’s pension service offering.

The Pensions SME Lead is responsible for providing subject matter expertise for the pension’s service offering on behalf of the Scottish Police Authority, and assisting the Head of Pensions in the delivery of the pension’s strategy for the organisation.

They will provide subject matter expertise to the Pensions Manager in the delivery of the pension service offering for circa 24,000 employees, ensuring compliance with the standards as laid down by legislation and external agencies.

To engage with the wider teams across the organisation and Senior Management to support the ongoing delivery of service excellence, compliance with regulations (statutory and organisational), development of service offering and completion of the transition of the new structure of the pensions function to the new operating model.

Provide guidance and support on all pension matters within and external to the Service relating to BAU, Transformation projects and service improvement programmes to ensure sound provision of pension services.

Starting salary for role is £51,239 - £58,226 depending on experience
