Barnardo's Lanarkshire has an exciting opportunity for a Youth Group Worker for our North Lanarkshire Youth Support Service supporting young people aged 16-26 who are homeless) and our new South Lanarkshire Futures service in partnership with South Lanarkshire Housing and Social Work Departments (funded by National Lottery Community Fund) supporting Care Experienced Young People into a permanent home.

The post is for a maximum of 27.5 hours, however, we welcome applications from people wishing to work part-time hours/shorter contracts.

This post may suit individuals who have other commitments such as studying or looking to develop experience. We are looking for a flexible individual who has a car and is able to travel throughout Lanarkshire. You will have experience of working with younger adults (age 16-26 years) preferably within the homeless or housing sector. The successful applicant will be registered with SSSC or be prepared to register on appointment of post. You will be qualified to HNC or SVQ3 level in social care. Experience and knowledge of issues facing homeless people and/or Care Experience Young People will be a big advantage as will experience of case management and managing your own diary
