Accountable to the Operations Director, and liaising closely with the other members of the Senior Management Team, the Fundraising Manager is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for new funding to support initiatives in line with the strategic direction set by the Board.

The post-holder will proactively engage with national and local organisations and bodies to ensure BLP is optimally placed to seek funding to promote and deliver its aims. The post-holder will be a key member of the leadership team in delivering BLPs vision, mission and strategic aims.

Main areas of responsibility:

• Identifying and securing new funding streams.

• Lead on the identification and submission of funding bids to external agencies that meet the strategic objectives of BLP.

• Develop and maintain monitoring and compliance processes to meet specified funding criteria.

• Complete and submit funding reports as required.

• Build relationships with major donors and local organisations.

• Develop and organise fundraising campaigns, events.

• Recruit and organise volunteers to support the fundraising campaigns.

• Prepare and deliver presentations to aid funding campaigns and raise awareness of the work of BLP.

• Report on all aspects of fund-raising activity to the Board.

• Promote the work of BLP with partner organisations to maximise funding opportunities.
