We are currently recruiting for a court handyperson to join our team to ensure standards of safety are maintained, undertake tasks as identified by the line manager and always maintain confidentiality.

Key responsibilities – what you’ll do:

  • Deliver an effective day to day service within the court to provide excellent customer service to tenants
  • Maintain the common areas and carry out small repairs to ensure that the court is kept to a high standard
  • Monitor the standard of repairs carried out to ensure a value for money service is provided
  • Responsible for reporting repairs to HomeWorks team, court coordinator or housing officer to ensure repairs are carried out.
  • Assist/schedule weekly fire alarm system checks to comply with fire and safety regulations
  • Assist with compliance tasks including water temperature testing/showerhead cleaning in the absence of the court coordinator

Requirements – what we’re looking for:

  • DIY/general maintenance skills with experience within a similar role
  • Ability to work to own supervision, adapt communication to suit audience and have an awareness of confidentiality
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and IT literate
  • Disclosure Scotland and right to work checks are mandatory for this role
