MBL1026EM - Personal Assistant

A family are looking for a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant to provide support to an older gentleman in his own home on a Saturday and Sunday, plus cover for any annual leave or sick leave. The individual can have trouble engaging and may require encouragement, reassurance, and a positive approach to help him participate in his daily routine

Shift times can be discussed at interview, but visits are required in the morning and at bedtime.

Morning Visit (Approx. 1 Hour)

Duties will include:

• Assisting with personal care.
• Providing catheter care.
• Supporting with shaving and other personal grooming tasks.
• Encouraging and supporting the individual to get out of bed and start the day, as this can take time and gentle persuasion.

Evening / Bedtime Visit (30 Minutes)

Duties will include:

• Assisting with washing hands and face.
• Providing catheter care.
• Supporting the individual to change into pyjamas.
• Attaching the night bag and ensuring comfort and safety before bed.
