Business Performance Manager

Salary – £45,231 per annum

Fixed Term - One Year (Maternity Cover)

Full-time- 35.75 hours per week

We are seeking a Business Performance Manager to lead our efforts in driving business performance.

In this challenging and exciting role, you will:

  • Lead and supervise the business performance team, providing support, development, and mentoring to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Conduct regular business support meetings with budget holders to validate performance data, address concerns, and improve financial outcomes.
  • Design, develop, implement, and improve business intelligence reports and various management information systems to support key business decision-making.
  • Prepare, collect, and aggregate data by analysing, and summarizing information and trends to deliver comprehensive reports in simple and user-friendly charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Develop and drive the forecasting process, including cash flow preparation, and provide updates on significant variances to senior management.
  • Assist managers in creating investment plans and carry out post-implementation reporting to ensure financial objectives are met.


Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree and accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in providing technical business analysis.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence applications and data manipulation tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset and experience in conducting deep, rigorous research.
  • High attention to detail and ability to organize data into logical formats.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects under tight deadlines.

This is a hybrid role with time spent between our head office at Meadowbank and home working.
