The Ethical Standards Commissioner is responsible for investigating complaints about the conduct of MSPs, Councillors and the board members of public bodies. We also oversee how people are appointed to the boards of public bodies.

As Information Management and IT Officer (IMITO) you will assist the Head of Corporate Services in the development and maintenance of our IT systems, website and records management procedures.

As IMITO, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing IT support to the office and managing our IT systems
  • Liaising with our IT support partners.
  • Developing and maintaining, or contributing to, our policies, procedures and documentation relating to IT activity
  • Researching and implementing sound cyber and information security arrangements
  • Developing and maintaining, or contributing to, our records management policies and procedures
  • Managing our website
  • Liaising with a range of external parties to ensure our systems are properly managed.

You will have the opportunity to build this new role and make a real impact on how we operate.

The successful applicant will have a successful track record of providing IT support and managing IT systems in an office or equivalent environment and using one or more website content management systems. They will have the ability to plan and organise and analyse and present complex information. They will also share our values which are that we act ethically and with empathy and we value people.
