Assisting in the provision of a comprehensive financial service to support the Business Support Co-ordinator.

Requirements
One of the following:
• 1 higher in a relevant subject and 4 standard grade 2 or above
• NC Accounting Level 5
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Level 1 Disclosure certificate through Disclosure Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Providing finance support
- Assisting in the preparation of financial information with particular reference to:
*Annual revenue and capital budgets
*Regular revenue monitoring reports for a range of facilities,
*Bank reconciliations, cash flow projections and monthly management accounts,
*Quarterly vat returns
*Production of draft accounts for the Annual Report and Accounts - Assist in the completion of government grant claims and various statistical and financial returns as necessary, to ensure full entitlement to various sources of funding
- Assisting with the reconciliation of financial ledgers and payroll costings, preparing allocations and taking corrective action as required or as requested by line managers
- Ensuring compliance with the financial regulations of the Company in any activities you will be involved in
- Extraction of data information from core systems and translation of data into reports suitable for management review
- Undertaking such other duties as might reasonably be expected to fall within the remit of the post and / or relinquish any of the above duties as may from time to time be determined
The Individual
Experience of working in a finance and administrative environment
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external
Working Knowledge of MS Office Package, Excel, Word etc
Awareness of VAT
Good numerical skills
Ability to use own initiative
Ability to work to deadlines
Good written and oral communication skills
Working as part of a team
Ability to carry out the duties of the post effectively
