Tree Nursery Operations Manager

The Plant Supply Operations Manager will be accountable, through effective leadership of the team, for ensuring the reliable supply of high-quality trees. Duties include developing and implementing plans to optimise plant health, enhance productivity, and meet customer demand. The postholder will have unwaveringly high standards in relation to health and safety, plant health, quality and biosecurity.

FLS Plant and Seed Supply is a dedicated team of 30 people responsible for growing or sourcing the 25 million trees per year required for the forests and land managed by FLS. We do this from the only publicly owned tree nursery in Scotland, Newton Nursery, near Elgin, which is currently being redeveloped with a 12,000sqm glasshouse.
