Personal Assistant (Bishopbriggs) – GCIL ED SS/RC/1.26
Ad Hoc Personal Assistant (PA) – Holiday & Sickness Cover
We are looking for a kind, reliable and caring Personal Assistant to provide ad hoc support for a 28 year old Autistic female in the Bishopbriggs area, primarily to cover staff holidays and sickness.
Hours: Up to approximately 32 hours / 4 days per week when cover is required
Days: Monday, Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday
Rate of pay: £14.85 per hour
Type of role: Ad hoc / relief cover
A car and full driving licence are essential for this role. Mileage will be reimbursed.
This would suit someone who is looking for flexible work and is able to step in when our regular support is unavailable.
We are looking for someone who is:
* Reliable, patient and compassionate
* Comfortable supporting a young person on a one-to-one basis
* Able to build a trusting and respectful relationship
* Flexible and able to provide cover when required
* Understanding of neurodivergence and a low-demand, person-centred approach would be particularly welcome
The role will involve supporting her with day-to-day clubs and activities, getting out and about and providing calm, consistent companionship.
As this is an ad hoc position, hours are not guaranteed every week. Wherever possible, holiday cover would be arranged in advance, although occasional sickness cover may be required at shorter notice.

Successful applicant will require a PVG, it is the responsibility of the Personal Care Assistant to pay for and upkeep the PVG
