Relief Personal Assistant- Provide cover support for Stevie as required
Stevie is a kind-hearted gentleman who enjoys the simple things in life. Although he can be a little shy when meeting new people, once he gets to know someone, he loves a good chat and enjoys having a laugh and a joke.
Stevie is a huge football fan and enjoys talking about football, as well as keeping up with his favourite TV programmes such as; coronation street and Emmerdale. He enjoys getting out and about in his local community, visiting the cinema, browsing shops, going for the occasional game of bowling, and spending time with people he enjoys being around.
One of Stevie’s best qualities is his caring nature. He likes helping others, whether that is lending a hand with shopping or supporting others around him.
What would the role involve:
The role is about helping Stevie enjoy a happy, independent and active life while providing reassurance and support when needed.
Support may include:
· Encouraging Stevie to get out and about in the community
· Helping him to explore new activities and interests at his own pace
· Providing prompts and reminders for important medication
· Supporting with shipping and everyday outings
· Assisting Stevie to prepare meals, drinks or snacks
· Supporting Stevie with handling money when out shopping
· Encouraging healthy routines such as eating, drinking and personal care
Hours and rate of pay:
This is a relief Personal Assistant position providing up to 12 hours of cover support when needed. Shifts will be available when Stevie’s regular Personal Assistant is on annual leave or otherwise unavailable. Flexibility therefore is important.
The rate of pay is £13.45 per hour.

A good day might involve heading out to the shops, stopping for something to eat, chatting about football, enjoying a visit to the cinema, or simply spending time together at home watching television and having a few laughs.
The most important thing is helping Stevie to feel comfortable, supported, and confident whilst enjoying the things that matter most to him.
