Job Description
Personal/Support Assistant GCIL.JG.IW.LJ.1.26 Location G22
Love Football, Bowling and a Bit of Banter? Become My Personal Assistant!
I'm a friendly, funny, and caring 12-year-old boy who enjoys spending time with people, getting out and about, and having a laugh. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once I get to know someone and feel comfortable, my personality really shines through.
I'm known for my quick wit, one-liners, and love of good conversation. If you're chatty, positive, and don't take yourself too seriously, we'll probably get on really well.
What I Enjoy:
I love keeping busy and having things to look forward to. Some of my favourite activities include:
• Playing football
• Snooker and pool
• Bowling
• Adventure and crazy golf
• Trips to the cinema
• Visiting arcades
• Exploring new places and trying different activities
I enjoy getting out into my community and making the most of my time.
About the Role
I'm looking for a Personal Assistant to support me to enjoy activities, build my confidence, and help me get the most from my time in the community.
You will support me to:
• Attend activities and outings
• Build confidence in social situations
• Enjoy regular conversation and companionship
• Provide reassurance when I'm feeling anxious
• Help me stay safe while out and about
• Encourage me to try new experiences and have fun
Who Am I Looking For?
The right person will be someone who enjoys spending time with others and can build a genuine connection.
You will be:
• Friendly and approachable
• Easy to talk to
• Patient and understanding
• Reliable and supportive
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Happy getting involved in activities
• Confident starting conversations and building rapport
• Someone with a good sense of humour who enjoys a bit of banter
Most importantly, I'm looking for someone who can help me feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident while we're out together.
A Little More About Me
Like many people, I sometimes experience anxiety and can have good days and more challenging days. Having someone who understands this, takes things at my pace, and creates a relaxed and supportive atmosphere can make a huge difference.
Once I get to know someone, I'm much more likely to chat, joke around, and enjoy myself, so building trust is important to me.
The Details
This rewarding role is based in the G22 area and offers 4 hours per week at £14.45 per hour.
Think We'd Get On?
This role is about much more than support. It's about getting out and about, having a laugh, trying new things, building confidence, and enjoying good company along the way.
If you're friendly, patient, enjoy a bit of banter, and don't mind the occasional bowling challenge, I'd love to hear from you.
Apply now and let's see if we're a winning team! Send your CV to par@gcil.org.uk quoting the reference “GCIL.JG.IW.LJ.1.26” in the subject line and body of the email. If you have any questions, please contact GCIL at 0141 550 4455.
