Job Title: Part time, Personal Assistant
Location of Job: Keith
Term: Permanent, subject to a three month trial period
Working Hours: 30 minutes per morning, flexible with times of visit.
Assistants also required to provide cover for other team members due to holidays and sickness. Must be flexible. Working hours to be discussed and agreed with the employer.

£16.88 per hour
- Job Purpose and Way of Working
We are looking for two reliable, caring personal assistants to provide support with personal care on a 7 -day rota.
Duties will include:
- Supporting with personal care.
- Flexible hours - times to be agreed to suit both the individual and assistants.
- 7 days a week support required, so we are looking for two personal assistants who can share the role and work alternative weekends.
Any questions concerning these duties may be asked at the interview stage. Full training will be provided for all successful applicants.
· Supervision and reporting relationships
Personal Assistants will be directed by and accountable to the employer. It is necessary to ask the employer what the support needs are, observing her directions and requests. It is also necessary to respect the family privacy and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
· Skills, abilities and desirable personal qualities
Applicants must be reliable, trustworthy and punctual and must be able to work with the gentleman on a one to one basis, also be able to work as part of a team
· Training
Mandatory training will be provided. This includes: Adult/Child support & protection. Any other training needs will be discussed and determined by the Employer and social worker.
· References and the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme
This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by the employer.
A reference from 2 employers, one of which should be current or recent is required. Employees will be required to register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme. It is the Personal Assistant’s legal responsibility to join the PVG scheme if they want to work or continue in a ‘regulated role’ The fee for the disclosure will be reimbursed to the personal assistant in their first month’s wage.
