Project Officer (MaaS)

Fixed term – 24 months

Based: Lairg or Inverness (with potential for flexible working or from a base with a partner Council)

Salary: £26,041 - £29,721 (SCP 49 – SCP 57)

HITRANS are the regional transport partnership for the Highlands and Islands covering the local authority areas of Argyll & Bute, Highland, Moray, Eilean Siar and Orkney. We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate to fill the role of Project Officer who will have a key role in supporting the delivery of an exciting set of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) projects. This will include one of two projects that successfully secured funding through the first round of Transport Scotland’s MaaS Investment Fund. Other activity will take place though the Stronger Combined INTERREG North Sea Region project offering an opportunity to showcase Scotland’s leadership in MaaS on a European stage while also learning from people delivering similar work elsewhere in Northern Europe.

The post-holder will be based at HITRANS office in Lairg or Inverness. Consideration will be given to finding an alternative office base with one of HITRANS Partner Councils if that is an attractive option to potential candidates. The project will involve travel within the Highlands and Islands, beyond to the central belt and to meetings in other Stronger Combined partner areas.

The post is funded by Stronger Combined and the Smarter Choices Smarter Places (SCSP) fund administered by Paths for All.
