Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Improvement Service for the role of Finance Assistant, to support the Finance team in ensuring that it meets its objectives of ensuring sound financial management within the organisation. 

The postholder will be an experienced Finance Assistant who will contribute to finance team goals, e.g. meeting reporting deadlines; by working accurately and responsively, and through effective communication both within the finance team and with colleagues throughout the organisation and externally.

Tasks will include processing invoices, performing bank reconciliations, and calculating prepayments and accruals. Experience in the preparation of journals and in the use of banking and finance systems is required.

A Disclosure Scotland Certificate will be required which will be paid for by the Improvement Service.

It is anticipated that the role will involve a blended model of office and home working. This flexible approach will be agreed between employee and line manager.

Duration:  Fixed Term – 1 Year

Hours of Contract: Part time 15 hours.  Hours can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager.
