About Us

At Kingdom Housing Association, we provide Housing and Support across East Central Scotland. Our Asset Management team manage, maintain and invest in our property assets to make sure that our properties provide attractive, good quality homes for our residents and future customers.

About the Role

The role involves providing a high quality cleaning and clearance service within all of our void properties. There is also a requirement to carry out some minor multitrade works such as lock changes, tiling, fencing and laying loft insulation. There may also be opportunities to support with kitchen installations. You will work within our extensive team of operatives and will benefit from their knowledge and experience.

About You

You should have previous cleaning and labouring experience with a good knowledge of health and safety legislation. Previous experience of sharps identification and disposal and a relevant cleaning qualification is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Whilst your Depot is in Glenrothes, you will be expected to work at and from any of our properties. Extensive travel will be required for this post, therefore a van will be provided for the team so a current driving licence is essential. You must have a flexible approach to work and should be able to work well on your own or as part of a team.

You will also be required to complete a satisfactory Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland check.

The Package

We offer an attractive salary and benefits package including a contributory pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement and flexible working options.

How to apply

You can apply online by visiting our website: https://www.kingdomhousing.org.uk/jobs/ and click on the Kingdom Housing Association Vacancies link.

We will provide further information on the format of the interview to all those invited.

Kingdom is committed to contributing towards the eradication of homelessness. As part of that, we particularly welcome applications from people who are currently registered homeless or have been in the last 12 months. We will guarantee shortlisting to any applicant who meets that criteria and the essential criteria for the vacancy. If we offer you the role and you are homeless at that point, we will also offer you a tenancy in one of our properties as part of the Naumann Initiative. If you wish your application to be considered under the scheme, please state this under “Supporting information” on your application form.
