Rate of Pay: £14 per hour

The aim of the job is to assist with my morning routine enabling me to start the day off and live an independent life. I am a male in my mid 30’s and paralysed from the shoulder down having suffered a spinal cord injury. This means that I require assistance in all aspects of my life.

I am looking for someone who is a good listener, able to work with others, reliable and punctual. The job involves assisting me and my live in PA with a variety of tasks including basic moving and handling tasks, transfers from bed to chair and vice versa and personal care duties like washing / brushing teeth etc. Due to the moving and handling required you must be physically able to carry out these duties.

You would be required to assist me for 3 hours each morning from 8.15am, ideally 4 mornings per week with occasional weekend work.

No previous experience is required as long as you are willing to learn on the job after paid shadow shifts. However, it is essential that the postholder is a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or is willing to join.

Holiday pay is also offered along with a rate of pay increase after 6 months.
