Who are we?

Lothian Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Lothian Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.

What we do?

We provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for East Lothian, the City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian Councils in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Register of Electors.

To provide high quality, effective and responsive services to all of our stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?

The post holder will be a dynamic IT professional with development experience in .NET, preferably C# and SQL Server environment. Experience with SSRS and SSIS an advantage.

You will play a key role in a team responsible for developing and maintaining in-house applications.

As a team player you require to demonstrate initiative with strong communication skills and the ability to work flexibly. You should have excellent organisational capabilities, pay attention to detail and be able to plan, prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.

Applicants should hold a Degree or equivalent in a computing related discipline, consideration may be given to applicants that can demonstrate significant relevant experience.
